A Different String From France
Review by Christopher R. on 23 Oct 2024 review stating A Different String From France Let me begin by saying I strung this set of Philippe Bosset light gauge phosphor bronze strings on a contemporary dreadnought instrument with an Engelmann Spruce top and Rosewood Body. Two things were quickly apparent , these stings are loud in comparison to American counterparts and have a very different feel. The set provided even projection across all six strings and educed plenty of overtones from the Rosewood body. I can only describe the feel as grippy. These stings may not be the best choice for a flatpicker, but a solo fingerstylist may find them worth investigating.
