interesting idea but not helping me
Review by Chris J. on 21 Oct 2025 review stating interesting idea but not helping me I purchased all the tip angle Zookies (M-10, M-20, M-30) to give them a try.
I have used the Medium Dunlop thumbtack as my thumbtack of choice for at least 5 years. I have the habit of missing or too lightly hitting the thumbpick pluck occasionally when moving up to the D string so wanted to experiment with these and see if it helped. . . . it didn't.
I had no idea if a tip angle would improve my tone or general play. . . . it didn't.
I prefer the tone I get using Dunlop mediums to any other thumbpick that I've tried so will absolutely stay with them.
I don't know what specific thing a tip angle might help, but it doesn't aid my play in anyway.
