First Time Trying Flatwounds

I must preface all my opinions about this with the confession that these are the only flatwound strings I have ever played. I bought them specifically to cut some of the high end on my jazzmaster, and add a little more bass, and these strings definitely did both of those things. I love the feeling of flatwound strings, even though they seem to have much more tension than roundwounds of the same gauge. They are much harder to bend, and the action on my jazzmaster got noticeably higher after putting them on.

Your guitar may need another setup after putting these on, but they sound great. I love how thumpy the bass strings sound on my jazzmaster with these. It almost sounds like a bass guitar now.
