GHS RC-M3045 Round Core Bass Boomers Electric Bass Medium 45-105

So many strings, so little time. I love trying different types of strings and analyzing how they sound on different basses. One size fits all is not for me and it's a thrill when I can find the best string for a particular bass. I had been using EB Cobalts on my Ibanez SRX500 for a long time and liked the grit and growl, but they always seemed to lack punch and power. I had heard great things about the boomers and decided on the round cores because I prefer a slightly looser feel. Man, what a difference they made! They transformed my Ibanez into the gnarly beast it was destined to be. They sound louder than the EB Cobalts with balanced volume across the fretboard, which is what I expect from any set of strings but don't always get. These are excellent strings.
