Good and Bad

I purchased these looking for strings for my 8 string tenor that had reduced tension. The good news it the tension on these is quite nice. I found the E string to be exceptional. However, the hi C string broke in the case during the night and one of the A strings had intonation issues. Perhaps each set differs. . . . .

I haven't tried these strings

I haven't tried these strings yet. But I have been so happy with GHS Smoothwound La Classique strings I'm sure these will work well when I change strings on the 8-string ukulele.

Q: Are these suitable for a tenor 8 string uke - i've just had one hand made.

A: Hello Robyn,
Congrats on the new hand made uke!
From what I can see, 8 string Lili'u ukuleles are indeed tenor ukes, so you should be good to go. The black nylon in this set should yield shorter sustain and bright clarity.
