GHS Vintage Bronze 85/15 Acoustic Guitar Strings VN-M Med 13-56

Okay, my hearing and tone preferences change like the weather. (Or perhaps I'm fickle. ) But I like these strings because they seem to "calm down" my guitar's adirondack top by adding just a little warmth, complemented, of course, with a different pick. These strings are also easy on the fingers when I'm sliding notes, much better than pb. I'm glad that I've tried them, and will use them until the next fickle mood strikes my ears.

A great string with an excellent lifespan, but not quite the appropriate fit for my vintage D-28. They were a bit too much on the mellow side, had a subdued attack & a lot of sustain. In the style of music I usually play, I'm often back & forth between a lead & rhythm role. That requires me to use a very niche string that can accommodate both of those roles in the same guitar. However, I recently recorded some background rhythm, using the same guitar, on a country session. They were an outstanding string choice for that role, offering a great foundation for blending with the other instruments!!!!!!! They are well balanced string & offers a smooth sustain. If you have a guitar with over pronounced highs, high mids & not quite enough sustain, these strings would be the perfect fit for that particular guitar. I still highly recommend these strings for the right application!!!!!!!

2013 Eastman E6OM (not one of the new torrified top ones) I can feel the increased tension of these . 13s throughout the top of this guitar. I've always used lighter gauge strings so I'm surprised at the new complexity and volume I'm getting -- I'd say it's a warm, piano-like sound. Really beautiful sound, but considerably harder and more tiring to play. I would need a new setup if I were going to use these strings regularly.
