Hannabach 877 Aluminum polished 3rd string

I have been trying to find the perfect 3rd string. This sounds better than a normal nylon 3rd but not by much. The winding is polished so string noise is minimal, but the finish is raspy feeling. The sound is less “tubby” than a normal 3rd but still lacks clarity. Very expensive and not worth the price.
