great sound and very durable for flamenco guitar playing

I perform with three instruments. (1) I play a Yamaha APX6N, a fairly bright instrument. I like to bring out the brightness rather than fight it. A lot of good strings don't sound good, to my ear, on this guitar. I underwent a lot of experimentation with many helpful suggestions from SBM. With the exception of the gold plates strings, I found all of the Hannabach bass sets sound great on it. For the trebles, the Aquilla nylogut. For steel strung guitar I play an old Guild D25M. I love it but, I HATE the sound of new strings, especially phosphor bronze. SBM felt my pain and quickly recommended Copper bronze strings by Red Brand, Never heard of them. But even new, I like their sound. My third instrument is an octar, a mandocello type thing which I string like a Portuguese mandola. Where (outside of Portugal) do I get strings for that? Strings By Mail. With their custom string sets, they package the individual gauges I need as a set and now I'm not clowning around with bulk strings every time I need to restring the instrument. Every pro knows to order strings well before going on the road. Not me. I frequently have to have an order sent ahead to me at one of my stops. And, for my last order I ordered the wrong set and only discovered the fact when I received the "Your Order Has Shipped" email. I emailed in panic in the wee hours and SBM corrected the order before it was picked up. Upon waking I found an email from SMB with two simple words: "No problem." I can't praise Strings By Mail enough.
