These flat wound strings sound great through an amp and through my headphones. I don’t like the acoustic sound so much, but they aren’t advertised for acoustic sound. However, I also didn’t like the feel as much as D’Adarrio’s nickel round wounds so I switched to Pure Nickel EPN21’s.
