GHS Burnished Pure Nickel Rockers BNR-XL Electric Guitar 09-42

I’ve used Fender pure nickel strings for over 50 years. Now that Fender outsources their strings I don’t like them for whatever reason. They’re not the same as they used to be.
So I’ve been giving other brands a go and am hooked on these GHS Burnished Nickel Rockers. They feel great, sound great, and stay in tune extremely well after they’ve passed their initial wear in stage. The burnishing minimizes that annoying wound string squeal while sliding up and down the fingerboard. Pure nickel wound strings are notorious for dulling out in a short time, but these GHS strings hold their tone for a really long time. I’m stringing up my Stratocasters with the 9’s and putting 10’s on my Gibsons.

I’m thinking of changing over to GHS flats from Chromes. The GHS have a bit more mid content but don’t sound “flat”.
Four stars because the low E was a little bit dead sounding, but, still think I may still go with GHS.
I’m tire of having to solder the plain Chromes windings. If I don’t do that they will come unwound and fall off.

By the way, the GHS burnished are the best roundwounds, for real.
