DR Strings Pure Blues PHR-10 Pure Nickel Electric Guitar Strings 10-46

I always purchase items ahead of time. On my last order I also purchased a set of Fender Original Bulletts Pure Nickel, they are also in my inventory along with the DR strings. I look forward to using them to see if I can tell any difference. I can not give an honest answer at these time. When I have tried them I’ll let Matt know what I find. DR Pure Blues sound fantastic to me. I play Stratocasters with Alnico II pickups in my Classic Rock band. We also play blues. These strings cut the sharpness of Strat tone and sound great with my overdrive pedal and tube amp. They sound natural to me. My only complaint with these strings is that the wound D string tends to wear out before all the rest and sounds "thuddy". However, I practice A LOT so I'm not officially disappointed with how long they last. If I practice on the same guitar for a month - 6 weeks I will need to replace the strings.

Great strings. I just installed the "Pure Blues" on my Fender Stratocaster and I love them. I tried them on my Strat, because I already use DR DR EH 11-50 Extra Heavy strings on my Epiphone ES-339 and really like them . I believe DR's hand wound under tension process, really does make a difference to my ears and my fingers. The greater mass per string for a given gauge not only results in a richer, bell-like tone it also makes them easier to bend and they just feel good from an ergonomic perspective. I highly recommend DR strings and Strings By Mail!
