John Pearse 3000 Resophonic Acoustic Pure Nickel Wound G-Tuning Set

I wish there were sets like this in lighter guages for my other guitars. They're kind of like the GHS rollerwound or suchlike, but heavier. And, for my acoustic that's 'converted' to a Weissenborn, they actually sound (and play!) better than any of the bronze strings I tried; the Pearse quality is top-notch, especially at its price point. Highly recommended!

I have an old Supro lap steel I play primarily in open E, and occasionally open G. Tension is pretty balanced for both tunings though a tad loose on the low E (or low D in non-Dobro open G). But it’s still the heaviest gauge the nut can handle, and heavier than many other lap steel sets.

I’m currently using these on my Electro Hawaiian Jr. and they sound fine and play well.
