Tame down the 12-string jingle..

We all love 12 string guitars due to their bright jingle sound, but at times, we'd like to simmer the jingle with a warmer tone, especially when playing plugged in. The La Bella 12 gauge Silk and Strings will give your 12 string guitar just the right balance of jingle and warmth. I own a Guild F-512 12 string guitar and have recently discovered La Bella's Silk and Steel strings (better late than never). I find that the light gauge 710-12L strings are the perfect gauge for my 12 string guitar, with a couple of exceptions. The higher pairs of .010 and .012 are, for me, a little to light for my style of playing (mostly flatpicking), so I purchase 2 ea .014 "single strings" from La Bella''s website and use them in place/position of the .012's that come with the set of strings. I then use the .012's in place/position of the .010's. What I end up with is the following: .012-012, .014-.014, 023W-.009, .031-.012, .041-.016, .051-.025W. Give it a try....I think you'll like it.
