The 840 Folksinger set has clear ball-end nylon trebles and silver-plated wound basses. A special design, the nylon strings include a small ball attached to one end of each string. Type of Classical Used: Darrent Hippner 2022 (Spruce Top, African Blackwood Back and Sides)

I had gotten these strings as a part of the SBM Warm Collection. If you're looking to get a warm pair of strings they're a good start. The Trebles sound good and are warm, but the Basses lack punch and sound a little dull out of the pack. I think on a Cedar top they would be too warm, but with Spruce Tops they're a good pair. Not too expensive and a great start for looking for a warm pair of strings for a Spruce Top Classical.

Pros: Great Trebles that feel and sound great. Might even be a tiny bit too warm.
Cons: Basses lack punch and don't project that well.

7/10 I'd use these as a backup pair.
