My Favorite Basses

I only put the basses on my Godin & they are by far my favorite basses, even just listening acoustically. Recording wise, I hear some difference in how well they ring out & I am looking forward to hearing them when I get my P.A. set up.

Avg strings

Pretty avg strings. Even hard tension basses sound kind of spongy and loose. The sound kind of dissolves in space much faster than most of other strings. The carbon trebles are OK. Not my favorite carbon trebles.

Good sound. However the strings broke twice after installation and I cannot review the new set Stings by Mail re-sent me because I am not using this new set at this time.

Optima # 6 GCHT 24 K Gold with Carcon HT strings

Wonderful set of strings. The sound is beautiful. I have bought it recently, and I am an amateur classical guitar player so I have not had a chance to really dig into it but I am very happy with what I have seen and experienced so far.
