SpiderCapo Creative Tunings Adjustable Single String Capo XXL

The options are so limited for an 8-string player I had to give this one a try, especially after viewing the cool demo videos at the spider site. First problem is that the "tabs" are positioned such that the "fingers"—on my classical anyway—cannot achieve sufficient pressure on all the strings. While the width is adjustable, it maxes out by the third fret. There is a headless machine screw that was not made long enough to remain threaded to the thumb screw when going for the maximum width. It takes longer than most capos to take on/off or move up/down the fretboard. I hope to come back to this capo down the road: replacing the headless screw with a longer one and seeking more pressure from the "fingers" either by building them out (with what I don't know—epoxy drops got pulled off) or filing off the "tabs" and attempting to create new ones more favorably positioned. In the meantime I'm back to using two 6-string capos on my instrument.

The capo was not built for classical guitars, but it sounded a bit like it was in the description, or perhaps I let my search results determine too much of it and just didnt check it out enough. Either way, I am getting a new one from you and I wish more businesses had this quality of customer service.
