Between 1952 and 1954 Andres Segovia, considered the greatest guitarist of the 20th century, recorded some of his favorite repertoire works. Those recordings, like the others made in the 1950s, are universally thought to be the apex of Segovia’s discography, because they combine interpretations that are technically and artistically mature with good sound quality.
