Q: I have a short scale electric guitar. I'm going to try tuning it in fifths as follows:
low E down to C
A down to G
D stays the same
G up to A or use the B string down to A
E stays the same
Now I'm looking for a steel string that can be tuned to a high B.
Any such critter?

A: Hello Kathy ,
There is no set that we can point you towards. We do sell individual strings for electric guitar from a number of companies. Your situation will require some experimentation and you should proceed with caution when using an odd mix of gauges.
That said, a starting point might be strings with gauges similar to this-
Low E- .052 or .054 wound
A string- .040 or .042 wound
D string- .026 wound
G string- .016 plain
B string- .012 or .013 plain
High E- .007 plain
D'Addario single are found here-
