La Bella 10PH High Tension Silver Classical Guitar Strings, Full Set

Great strings, great service

Good strings, but what the hell do I know. I'm a total noob.

I used these strings when I was young. The feeling of heaviness to the touch on the bass is not pleasant. They are not very elastic strings, even if they have a rather balanced sound. It could be better.

I was using Augustine imperials treble set paired with Knobloch double silver MHT basses (great projection but something was missing),
Imperials are nice except the G string (a bit dull at G#, 1st fret) and the high tension of three of them, i switch to 10ph trebles for a test, the tension is great for my stroke (somewhere between ej 46 and imperials, not heavy fingers :P ) and the thickness of the strings also, sound wise they are round, warm, clear and powerful, the G string rings like a dark sounding bell, the sustain is awesome on three of them, the vibrato also, not penetrating ringing on High E but projection is still there ;)
My guitar is a brw back and sides with spruce top (traditional fan brace Hauser type flat top) and these trebles give me what i was looking for : warm, clear, mysterious voices, i paired them with Augustine blue HT basses, i found the combination more than perfect and very cost effective. Definitely everybody who owns a spruce top instrument and hunting for a dark, romantic and Spanish sound without sacrificing projection and quality should give this combo a chance.

Great strings. They helped me find the right size for my tuning. Can t complain
