D'Addario Chrome Flatwound CG056 XL .056 inches 1.42 mm Single String

I was very happy with the service of Strings By Mail.
He made my 3 custom sized sets.
I've been using Flat Wound strings suited for tuning to A6th with the 5th E on Top or C6th with the same E as the 3rd.
For A6th to C6th all I need do is raise 2 F# strings to G and lower the 2 C#'s to C.

I love the richer slightly fuller tone and sustain as well as the lack of string noise when I slide my bar.
I tried several brands before settling on this one as my personal favorite.

For my Pedal Steel Guitars I like the D'Addario sets just as they come.

I put the new sets on the two lap steels I built 2 years ago. The old strings still sounded good after five years.
Needed new strings after I made new round nuts with wider 9mm spacing.

I had to build some custom string sets for an 8 string I'm using flat wound strings on. Strings By Mail had what I needed!

Nice beefy flatwound. Really rings.
