Pyramid's claims about these strings are exactly true. They are indeed warmer, mellower and smoother than other common unwound strings. They make a much better balance with wound strings, and comes at a reasonable price.

Snapped the B-string on a set of Pyramid Pure Nickel Classics. Didn't want to replace it with a crappy, generic string of inferior quality. Stocked up a a few of each guage replacement Pyramid plain strings so that if I snap a string again, I have a suitable replacement on hand. Silver-plated German steel, not cheap tin-plated Swedish. Excellent low prices.
