It is easy to play these strings loud, and the sound of each string is distinct. I usually play my Gitane in a classical style, and the bass parts come through nicely against the melodies. The sound can easily fill a big room. The E and B strings also provide a sweet sustained sound - try a Carlos Santana solo with them! The only drawback is that the tone fades after a few days. Get two sets and then change the strings after 15 or 20 hours of playing - you can tell the difference. Fortunately, these strings are quite affordable! But be sure to wipe them clean after each time you play them - they'll last longer.
