Ernie Ball 2590 Slinky Flatwound Cobalt Electric Strings 11-48

My go-to string for my single-coils has been Pyramid 455-100 for many years, as a true nickel wrap (not plated) round core......but in the past two years the 455-100's have developed issues, so for the past 5 months I finally tried a new string by a old name, the new EB cobalt/flat (2590's)......... they offer superb sound on single-coils, including the p90's on my Eastman LA......I am going out on a limb by saying I believe these strings also have more output too, they just sound more high fidelity than even pure nickel wraps. The EB 2590 cobalts are a real bitch to find right now...........so remember this, because they have them here @Stringsbymail!!! A superb sounding/performing string.......I have them on my teles and Eastman now for well over 4 months, If they still sound the same next year, ( I am thinking they will, i just bought two more sets!), I believe EB will have a real special string with the Cobalt 2590 flats. One last note, I have always been a fan of round-core strings because they are much more friendly to play (less tension)........I am not sure if these 2590's have a round core.........but they certainly feel like it......a very smooth playing string. High marks so far!!!!
