Galli Genius Carbonio Classical Guitar Strings, Treble Set

I own a Picado mod 54 spruce face CG. I needed a set of trebles to match my Savarez cantiga R510 basses and decided to try both the Galli carbons and Titaniums...both very, VERY nice strings indeed. Good feel and add to my guitars voice nicely.

I love the tone of Galli Carbonio trebles. Brighter than nylon, but not harsh like some other carbon strings. I have had issues with getting bum strings though. Usually the first string. Unfortunately, on my last order an entire treble set was terrible. Really out of tune. Unusable actually. I'm not sure why this happens, but I don't like spending money on something I can use. BTW, I've been using Galli Carbonio trebles on this same guitar since I built it in 2011... So I know it's not the guitar. Time to try something else.

I like this set of carbon strings. They are relatively soft and mellow, thus a good choice for beautiful melodies. They are not too thick or too thin, and not too rigid and sharp like Savarez Alliance trebles, which feel almost like fishing string to me. However, these Carbonio strings do not produce as powerful sounds as other standard good quality trebles, so may not be a choice for a concert artist. One not so small defect is that the trebles start to 'peel off' into very fine fluffs after maybe a month's use, by when the fluffs kind of 'hold' the vibrations and they get unusable.
