My overall favorites
Review by Carl S. on 8 Jan 2026 review stating My overall favorites And I've tried a bunch. . . . I am primarily a fingerstyle player so I prefer a warmer tone. I thing Elixers are ok, but the trebles are to chimney on my Taylor 812. . Daddario are better, but the finger noise is annoying. I settled on TI Plectrums 11 because of the stunningly perfect tone, but $35 a set kept me looking. . after experimenting with Daddario Flattops for awhile (good tone, soft projection but short life), also tried the SIT "silencers" (that 80/20 tone was not for me) I found these, zero fret noise but good projection with very balanced tone. These are not coated, but I think their construction keeps them "fresh" longer than most, very smooth, almost like electric guitar strings and a pleasure to play. . . . I've got a desk full of other brands, but these are what I'm sticking with.
