As a builder. . .

. . . I often rely on my clients giving me feedback from different strings they use or that I choose for the instrument. Fluorocarbon is primarily made in the same factory in Japan, so it's all pretty much the same. Each brand claims theirs is better than the others by adding an adjective in front of "fluorocarbon".

These strings have nice tension and width for a tenor, and I personally think they pair well with redwood tops.

The Best!!!

As of 2024 couple this with Worth High Density Low G!
I’ve performed and soloed with other musicians that can’t believe my strings aren’t metal.
Word of warning… these stings have a slightly higher tension and I’ve read some people have issue on their cheaper made and not properly taken care of ukes.
Also these strings, I would not recommend for beginners as they are harder then a lot of other strings. Starting out and want better sound try Aquila red line or Fremont black line. I preferred the black line over red before I made the
Switch to Hannabach!!

Good strings

A client of mine requested these strings (I am a luthier) and is very happy with them. They are a higher tension string that take quite a while to settle in. Bright sound.

Nice sounding string. Settles in very quickly

They play well and sound good. Have used worth CTs on my Kamaka tenor for several years. These sound a bit better. Worths take forever to stretch but these settle down very quickly. More comfortable to play than the savarez tenor strings. One negative is that for a tenor, these strings are a bit short. I would prefer another 1 inch or two, especially on the C and E. Haven't noticed any slipping on a tie bridge. I loop the string through the tuning machines too, so slipping is not an issue there either.
