Thomastik-Infeld CF128 Classic N Superlona NT Guitar Strings, Full Set

I am not a professional and mainly play classical, and normally use D'Addario Pro Arte medium tension.

I have read around the internet that these strings re only suited for playing plugged and not really for playing classical because they have less volume the basses, being flat wound, produce more low end notes and have less overtones, but this is not quite true. What I found out is the Classic N are just a bit less loud as D'Addario Pro Arte, and the basses are more "bassy", but not really that much. The wound 3rd string make the overall sound fell more balanced.

The only downside is that the 3rd string may not "feel right" when playing certain classical pieces, as you might expect a different feeling and timbre.

My opinion is that they are great for classical guitar and are really worth the money since they last so long, but I believe the CF127 would be even better.

I took another reviewer’s advice, bought the CF128 set, and used the middle four strings. I’m very pleased with the overall sound, particularly the intonation up the fretboard and the increase in volume. I think I have finally found my go-to strings from here on out.

I like these strings. Being flat wound, they are silky feeling. The G is great as the tone is consistent with both the D and B strings (contrary to many sets I've tried). I want to try using this G with other sets. What I'm getting used to is that they have less volume when played as I usually do, but when I "dig in" they respond with great dynamic range. The low E sounded dull initially, but has opened up with time.
A little expensive but definitely worth a try.

I use these on my Yamaha SLG200n and they're by far the best sounding/feeling strings I've found. They're perfectly suited for electro/acoustic guitars. The blew all the other kinds I've tried out of the water in both tone, feel, and quality.

Smooth as butter under the fingers, and very even sounding across all strings. Sounds amazing through a good PA/Amp. Very natural, rrich, focused, sound. They also reduce string noise significantly, which can be an issue with piezo pickups. I bought these expecting them to be too mellow for classical playing, but they blew me away with how versatile they are. Love the wound G too. Feels/sounds so much more natural and even than a traditional fat nylon G.

Bonus: Being flatwound, they last significantly longer than other strings. The price is definitely worth it!
I've had the same set on my guitar for a little over a year now. I simply wiped them with some isopropyl alcohol every few months to strip off the gunk, and they've kept their intonation perfectly and tone has stayed consistent. (I prefer the sound of old strings though, so your results may vary.)

I use Thomaston CF128 on my Godin Grand Concert Ambience. These strings produce a traditional sound quality through amplification, without the squeaking normally produced by round wound strings. The tension feels comfortable, kind of between normal to high tension; and allows for expressive vibrato, etc.
