Pyramid Acoustic Guitar Strings Hand-Polished Semi-Lt 11-50

After playing these for a bit, ive changed my mind on them and i like them quite a bit. Maybe need a good cleaning off when first installed, to clean off polishing remnants? I initially took them off, but gave them another try and i really like them. 11-50's on my '63 J-45 really sound great. Can be delicate and roar depending on how you attack them.

1st time ive tried the hand polished version of these. I was expecting a nice smooth feel, but was surprised at the rough gritty touch i experienced. Not great.

This is the only site I know of that carries the Pyramid hand-polished Western round core strings along with all the electric 6 and 12 strings that I use. My new site for all my string needs.

I love these strings. I've tried the .011, .012 and .013 and they all equally sound amazing. They also tend to settle and stay tuned quickly after mounting them on the guitar.

Although I used to play a steel string for many years I haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention to what sound I like on the guitar. So, I strung these up on an old Martin 0-15 I have. It sounds really good to me. I’m sorry, I’m just not hearing if these are better or worse than others I have used recently. I am tending to buy the light strings in general. I’m giving these a 4 star rating rather than 5 only because I’m lacking in a broader “ hearing” knowledge to compare them to. I can say I was fascinated by the “ hand polished” description. That, I can say I do not readily see here. In fact, I’m confused by it. But, they seem to be fine strings. I may come back to these but, I’d like to try others on Strings by Mail. By the way, I love the site. They make it easy to try a broad range of strings!
