Pyramid Pure Nickel Round Wound Baritone Electric Guitar 14-68

I've tried them all! Curt Mangan, D'addario, GHS, and others that I've probably forgotten about by now. I've also owned seven different baritone guitars, some of them solid body and others thinline archtop. The one I kept is the new D'angelico thinline "335" baritone model. These Pyramid strings give it the perfect balance of feel and timbre across the neck. A very sweet tone with harmonics that react to every nuance of playing.

Had I known that Pyramid makes a flatwound set for baritone guitar, I would have tried those first. They have to be ordered from Germany but it would probably be in poor taste to list the vendor here. They may be a new set, but it's worth informing Strings by Mail to see if they can add them to their catalogue. Gold Chrome #417 set.

Best baritone string I've used so far. On a 28.5" scale they work fine for tuning in B - B or C - C, though they are a too light for A - A tuning I find.

I'm glad that these are pure nickel. I just wish pyramid made them with round cores like their other Nickel Classics.

While I'm at it I'd like to say I wish Pyramid would make these as Flatwounds as well. I cant find Flatwound Baritone strings anywhere. If any one knows of any...
