Savarez 7-String Yamandu Costa Signature Classical Strings, Full Set

I’ve been playing these sets for about a year on an Ortega classical 7 string. They are tensioned for a very even feeling AEADGBE tuning, the 7th string resonates very well for a low A.
If I remember correctly the 7th string is about a . 064 gauge string which is unique in Savarez’s range. It seems the 7th string was chosen to have a middle ground between a normal tension low A and higher tension B

Yamandu Costa does often play in BEADGBE and CEADGBE tuning as well, so the higher tensions of those tunings are listed. I’ve played quite a bit in B and the higher tension is still very comfortable (and pleasingly loud and responsive when tuned up to B).

C does get a bit stiff feeling for my own preference and I would maybe expect the possibility of a lower lifespan when tuned up to C (however I have not had any such issues the handful of times I’ve tried it)

Yamandu Costa is a masterful player and was very much the perfect artist to represent the instrument in this set. Having an easy to order stock option for 7 string is something of a blessing itself. I recommend it!

So far very happy with these strings. We’ll see about the durability. As far as the sound and playability a month into using these on my 7 string, I’m very happy. Feel very full and balanced

I kept my 7th string tuned in C all the time and it was always way out of tune compared to my other strings, half way to a B. I always had to tension it a bit more and kept wondering whether that was bad.
Today the string snapped. At least all that tension didn't damage my guitar.
