Very good strings that improved the sound of my classical guitar. Inside the package I have found two G strings. One was regular and the other one in opaque color was a bit brighter in sound, yet harmonized with others.

Have always been a big

Have always been a big fan of D'Addario classical strings and the composite strings do not disappoint. In particular, the D, A and low E strings sustain their color and intonation beyond other brands I have tried.

1976 Ramierz flamenco

These strings match the needs of a 1976 Ramirez flamenco .... Cedar top...cypress back and sides........a lovely, overly romantic rose in its teeth guitar..... they are bright, and the composite G string adds strength, balance, and clarity......... a guitar this old needs some balance and structure.......least you just start picking the easy fruit and give up hopes of real romance.

Q: Any idea what the composite G is, perhaps a nylon + polyvinylidene fluoride (PVFD) aka fluorocarbon aka carbon blend? It was an improvement over the original nylon G, which was too tubby for me, but it's awesome that they include both in case you like one over the other.

I contacted D'Addario but the exact make-up of the composite string is a proprietary secret. Our rep passed along the full and official description though.
