Steel String Sound on a Classical Guitar
Review by Joel on 30 May 2025 review stating Steel String Sound on a Classical Guitar I have been using these strings for several years now on a classical guitar that I built myself in Costa Rica about 12 years ago. I usually don't play a classical guitar - I'm a steel string guitar player, and I don't generally like the sound of nylon strings. And, of course, you can't put steel strings on a classical guitar! What to do? Buy these strings! The higher strings sound as much like steel strings as you can get on a classical guitar because even the high E and G strings are wound. As some other reviewers point out, the high E is a little sensitive, and I've had those strings come unwound after just a few weeks or even days. I suggest you order a few extra high E's to have on hand in case that happens to you.
