Aquila IUKE / MINIUKE New Nylgut 94U Ukulele Set

I put these on my sopranissimo, I feel they are too loose,and I'm not crazy about the sound. They're not bad, just not what I was looking for.

But these strings worked better than the ones that came with the instrument. I could actually play it, even though it's basically a toy. In the end, I'll probably hang this one on the wall! SBM had the strings though!!!

I use these to use a higher tuning on on my sopranino and sopranissimo ukes.

I purchased an Ohana O’Nina Willow Wood Sopranissimo Ukulele. It’s a tiny little baby uke that looks and feels beautiful. Originally it came tuned up one step higher than a regular ukulele. Instead of gCEA it was aDF#B (still my dog has fleas) It was ok tuned that way, but not quite what I had hoped. I saw Dave from The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain share his Ukulele Collection on YouTube and noticed one of his ukuleles was tuned an octave above the Baritone tuning of DGBE and that started me on a search for strings that could be tuned higher than a standard ukuelel tuning. That led me to Strings By Mail and this Aquila mini-uke set. I put them on and tuned them an octave higher than standard ukulele tuning and “Voila!” it was exactly what I had been looking for. Friends have remarked what a full and loud sound this tuning gives to this little powerhouse. It has a toy piano tambre without the “toy” part. It’s a real addictive sound. Aquila makes my favorite ukulele strings, and these have made me like their brand even more.
