Excellent first impression

Just installed these on Rebel Double creme mango pineapple tenor along with Fremont Soloist low G. First impression is excellent; great volume, tone and sustain. Best combo I've found for this instrument. Looking forward to results once they've settled in a bit more, but these seem to be a winner.

Great daily drivers

The feel overall and the tension is pretty much perfect. Going from the AG × AQ, they seemed thin at first, but the tension is high enough and it makes them the perfect balance of string thickness and tension. The sound is clear and punchy without sounding bark-y. Very responsive with picking, but they still sound full and well-rounded when strumming. Highly recommended if you're a fan of Aquila or Martin fluorocarbon strings and/or prefer a higher than average tension. Texture is smooth and glossy in the best way. They seemed to stretch pretty quickly, too - so after a couple days, you shouldn't have to constantly retune. Give them a shot.
