Thomastik-Infeld CF30 - 4th string (D) .030 chrome steel flat wound

I am an amateur ukulele player, mainly playing finger-style in the classical, bossa-nova, jazz, Hawaiian style genres, using a low-G tuning. I love how the Thomatik-Infeld CF30 sounds on my acasia Pono tenor uke. I also purchase Worth brown uke strings, for the rest of my string set from Strings by Mail. Love the rich and clean sound. Easier to play than other wound low-G options, Lasts longer than other choices. Sounds wonderful with other instruments.

Possibly not as mellow as other choices.

This string was recommended to me by a luthier in Hawaii for a low G on my concert Uke. Much better than the nylon string I had been using. I bought another for Mya Martin tenor. It’s easy to play and quiet.
SBM was the only source I found for this string. Great service. Fast delivery.

I will never go back to regular wound strings. These are so comfortable on the hands. I use them for a Low G on an ukulele.
