D'Addario EJ46LP Composite HT Lightly Polished Strings LCH-3B Bass Set

I play the on a Cordoba Orchestra CE nylon stringed crossover. Tried these as a substitute for the more expensive "51" recording set of D'Addario polished basses and found them to be excellent. First set lasted 6 months with no significant sign of aging. NIce warm/full tone, and minimal string squeak. A great option for those wanting to play polished nylons.

I have been using these strings almost exclusively for several years. Let me tell you, I will never be able to go back to ordinary strings. The polish drastically reduces the finger noise that you find in regular unpolished bases After having tried these, the sharp squeaking that comes from other strings has become just about intolerable.

When you first put these strings on they have a somewhat metallic sound; it's almost like you listening to an electric guitar.
This goes away quickly, however, leaving behind a strong punchy bass, which can be very warm when played in higher positions.

I'm not a fan of the treble strings that are meant to accompany this set. They feel sort of chubby and have a rather generic and uninteresting sound in my opinion.
