I've always been pleased with the sound and consistent quality of D'Addario strings, but I'm relatively new to the use of carbon strings. With my limited experience, I find the carbon treble strings to be brighter, more resonant, and louder than traditional nylon trebles. They can make a decent guitar sound great and a very good guitar sound like a concert instrument because of their clarity and power. I'm not yet sure if I can detect a difference in the sound of the Dynacore bass strings, but I sense that they might remain lively longer than standard bass strings. I'd appreciate hearing other guitarists' impressions of the D'Addario EJ46FF strings, particularly the bass strings since I've already talked about the trebles. One last comment. The most notable advantage of carbon trebles is the 3rd (G) string, which has almost always sounded tubby & dull. A carbon 3rd will bring its sound back to life.

To sum it all up, D'Addario strings have long been highly regarded as neutral in sound characteristics (a desirable asset) and very consistent in quality and tone.

First time trying fluorocarbon strings…
Great treble tone: louder, stronger, clear.
Smaller diameter, and they easily slip, so melt the end and knot the first E string, or it’ll slip. They also stretch a little longer. Love these. Will definitely buy again.

I find that these are similar to the Savarez Alliance trebles. They may be every so slightly larger, but they seem to be just as brilliant and durable. Since they are cheaper, I have switched to these over the Savarez.
