Dogal Maestrale Flamenco Guitar Strings Reg Tension NR168FB, Full Set

I had a great excellent experience with your company and with Matt very professional

I dislike playing and hearing these strings. I have a Bernabe flamenco guitar (spuce/cypress) and the trebles sound overly bright, thin and metallic. Especially the high E string. They also make a "squeaking" noise when my finger brushes them.
Both the bass and treble strings are powerful and percussive but I'm not hearing tonal depth.

Disclaimer: I sent support a message saying they need a warning for brandished strings, the D strings can and will pop off if you dont leave slack near the bridge or double knot them. They don't answer, but I absolutely recommend you double knot your D string, though it seems like you can single knot the G string.

I'm a fan of brandished strings to prevent trouble with nails, coming off of Hannabach BRandished Strings- which are fantastic. These string are alot less warm sounding with the hannabach, but alot more percussive. If you didnt like hannabach's, you still may like these and they can also feel as if they open up your guitar.

The cool-sounding aspect and the percussive sound would normally actually be kindof weird for any single note or arpeggio runs, but the strings have an insane level of differentiation of melody.

If you play correctly the strings chime like a bell, as Sagreras would say.

I recommend these to any perfectionist, who loves melody and rhythm on guitar, looking for Brandished Strings, which you should look for.

The only thing thatll make sure its worth the money over other stings is the string life. If you leave them on a week and change then maybe its not worth it, but they seem to last awhile so i might get more

I was going to send a link to these strings to a friend in England and thought I might add a review, and then saw that the first rave review is by the owner of an Andy Culpepper flamenco guitar –– like mine, which is Andy's #108. I bought a set of the Dogal blue flamenco strings over a year ago but due to their price I set them aside. After going through two sets of fine Knobloch Actives on my recently delivered Culpepper blanca, I decided to splurge and open up the Dogal packet. After letting them set for three days, I deemed these strings to be a perfect match for the crispiness and power that are trademarks of Andy's flamenco instruments. These are truly terrific strings for flamenco, a cut above anything I can ever recall playing.
