Thanks for Strings by mail

I had just purchased a Cervantes crossover that came with a humidicase. Unfortunately, the humidifiers built in the case were no longer viable. Upon investigation I found that Strings by mail carried a humidifier that would work in my case. Bought one and one was back ordered. They also carry the Strings I use in all of my guitars. Best company!!

Q: Hi, A couple of questions:
1) Can this be used in any case (just loose in the case, not mounted with screws)?

A: These are not sold with sponges alone, but in the pod. They can be
used however you'd like. They are just designed to fit nicely in a
Humicase case.

Q: Dennis F. says that he is installing this pod in a number of guitar cases which do not appear to be Humicases. Is such installation possible, as I have both Humicases and non-Humicases. Thank you.

A: Hello Richard ,
Technically these are specifically designed to fit in a HumiCase. Some people may find they are usable in other cases as well but the HumiCase has a holder integrated into the case that the pod will securely rest in.

Q: Humicases have the back of the unit attached to the case. Is this the complete unit or only the part that comes off and the sponge ?

This is a new sponge and the plastic housing that holds the sponge.This item is the updated twist-and-click pod design that is included in HumiCases as of Spring 2013.
