Savarez Traditional 520R_Trebles NT Classical Guitar, Treble Set

Savarez 520R strings have been my favorites for most of my classical guitars for more than five decades. It's about clarity, control and consistency. They do what I ask of them every time.

I tried several rectified treble sets including D'addario, La Bella, and these by Savarez.

All three are excellent.

The 500R have a bit more bite than than the La Bella, with the D'addario in between.

If you're looking for rectified then try all three and see where you land.

I've become a big fan of these rectified Savarez trebles or even the 520R full set. They're different than any other strings that I've used. They have the feel of a high tension string with a bit more forgiveness. Hard to describe. . . more of feel thing.

They're extremely musical, have a great overall feel to them, a certain forgiveness for vibrato. The rectified string takes a minute to get used to, on slower attacks it has more finger and nail noise due to the satin string texture. . . but once you start playing them, how musical they are takes your attention and you're fingers naturally adjust to creating your phrasing and technique sound you're acustomed to.

I originally tried these after someone posted a comment about them and their older Kohno guitar, how it was a perfect pairing. I have a 67 Kohno that I decided to give them a try and was very impressed. I've tried other strings on that guitar but, just really love the playability and sound of these strings on that older guitar. I'm now trying them on some of my other guitars to see how I like them.
