Jose Ramirez MT w/ Carbon 3rd Classical Guitar JRCM, Full Set

Recently got an 06 A1 equipped with D'dario strings. Found these on Ramirez web site suggesting their use on cedar tops. They sound great. . . a little harder and louder than the D'dario's though maybe not as sweet. Still no regrets. . . worth a try

It sounds unimaginative to put Ramirez strings on a Ramirez guitar, but these are my go-to strings for my 1976 Ramirez 1a. I admit that this guitar tolerates many different brands of strings but these seem to play the best without having to customize a string here or there. They have plenty of power and when you dig into the trebles with your nails and play hard, you hear that classic "Ramirez" sound in its full glory. I like the carbon G as it balances the sound of the trebles-vs-basses on my guitar. I also prefer the Medium tension as the Hard tension feel very hard to me (and I want to take it easy on this old guitar). Finally, a bit expensive, but these strings last a long time!

These strings are even in tone and response . The best I have played.

I recently purchased some Savarez strings and was not happy with them, so I switched back to Jose Ramirez.

I put these (MT, carbon 3rd) on a 1973 2A and the trebles are gorgeous - better than the Savarez and D’Addario I’ve tried. But, the 4th string went dead within 7-10 days. I’m going to try another set to see if it was a 1-off issue or not. Every other aspect was great.
