La Bella 880M Mandolin Strings, Medium 11-38

I'm not sure how I hadn't heard of La Bella before as they have been around for a long time. These gauges are in between D'Addario EJ73 and EJ74. Heavier in the high strings, not too heavy on the lows. Warm and clear sounding. Ordering from SBM is of course, always a pleasure.

I've only had them for a day but my early impression is very favourable! I love the feel (seem to be a bit lower tension than D'Addario) even though slightly larger gauge. And plenty of bark, bright (as most new strings are!) and really make my mando come to life. So far, these are my favourites of the many I have tried, but the next test will be durability. I usually get 3 months out of set --- providing I am not gigging much. I suspect they will last much like other un-coated strings on the market.

I’ve been looking for some strings between light and medium gauge and these are perfect.
