Savarez 520B Rectified Trebles/White Card Basses LT Strings, Full Set

I prefer low tension strings and like the quality of the sound these strings produce.

May be good for others but not suitable for my instrument. The feel is too thin, the sound rather flabby.

Maybe I’m old school (playing for 55 years) but I still love Savarez on my Ramirez. So balanced and bright and full.

I may have finally found the right strings for my 2½ year old Esteve Adalid cedar. After trying many different brands of carbon, titanium, and other string formulations, tensions, and even colors, there was always some nit to pick. So I decided to get back to basics with Saverez 520B White Cards. Lo and behold, they sound great. They’re not as loud as some of the higher tension sets I’ve used, but they have a nice all around balance in both volume and tone. Intonation is fine, and even the transition between bases and trebles is smooth. As an added bonus, the lower tension makes the instrument feel less stiff and more playable; less tiring for my fretting hand and a nice feel under my nailless right hand. I tied the strings on a week ago. They've settled in nicely but still lose a semitone overnight and E6 occasionally needs a small interim tuning adjustment as I practice. I usually replace strings monthly (70- to 80-hours playing time). Based on past experience with Savarez strings, I expect these will go the distance.

I have been playing for over 62 years. The 520 B is my favorite string. I just bought enough to last until I am 80 years old. Hopefully, I will be able to buy more then.
