Nice tone, good response. Certainly an improvement over other strings I've used.

The strings have been on almost another full month and are well settled. Basses have lost a bit of the twangy edge and retain good volume and accuracy up the neck. The trebles on the other hand tend to go flat the higher up one plays. At the time of my first review I found that if tuned as open strings they were 5 or 6 cents flat at the 12th (fretted) while harmonics were very good. In the last month they have improved but will still be 3 or 4 cents flat. If tuned at the 5th fret first and second positions are noticeably sharp. Again the basses are accurate so reaching a balance is difficult. Fortunately most of the Christmas arrangements I have don't venture above 9th position and then occasionally only.

The volume and bell like qualities achievable work well for the solo holiday pieces and I will probably install them again next holiday season if I'm not playing with anyone but will go back to my usual strings shortly after the holidays.

Mixed thoughts about these. I wanted a louder brighter tone for Christmas music than obtainable with my usual strings. These are loud. Basses rather open & twangy; trebles ok down low but seem to close up their sound above 6th or 7th fret; balancing trebles and basses takes some getting used to, especially when barring.

Very tempted to replace them already but will allow another few weeks to see if there is improvement.
