Piazzolla | Oblivion arr. for solo guitar by P. Jankovic PDF Download

This is one of the most beautiful and mysterious pieces by Piazzolla. Some years ago I did a dual arrangement of it to play with my Violinist partner where we worked at Four Seasons Resort but I always wanted to play it solo so this arrangement was a wonderful discovery for me. It is a great arrangement by P. Jankovic, is very playable allowing the melody to sing nicely with the beautiful chordal harmony. I love the drop D tuning especially when that full Dm chord occurs which is so exquisite. After much experimentation with some alternative fingerings, I have changed a few due to my personal preference in a few sections, a practice which is common for experienced guitarists. I like the arrangement so much that after working it for a number of days and quite a few hours I now have it memorized and will keep it as a treasured peace in my repertoire. I highly recommend this piece and to listen to the recording by Jankovic which is very good. If you are not already familiar with this composition, his recording will cause you to fall in love with the piece! Highly recommended!
