Thomastik-Infeld 154M Steel Core, Loop End Flatwound Medium, Full Set

Handmade flatwound steel-core strings bring out the warm tone hiding in your instrument and nearly eliminate scratching and squeaking when sliding up/down the strings. This manufacturer focuses on the European market where instrument scales may differ from popular US models. I use these on a Breedlove KF-5 that has a 13 7/8" (35. 2cm) scale.

I forgot to put this in my last post, but I hope that someone will pass this along to the manufacturer:
These strings need to be longer (at least 1-2 inches). They are quite hard to string at this length, especially the G and A strings. I generally need a needle-nose plier to pull them tight, and if having to re-string rapidly (like during a performance), it's almost impossible!
Other than that. . . I love them.

I live in a high humidity climate and strings generally rust very fast. These not only sound and feel great, but they last 5 or 6 times longer than other strings which for me justifies the high price

These were recommended for a mandolin that, even with a proper setup, was quite hard on the hand. They helped with that, and sound fantastic.
