Thomastik-Infeld JF344 Jazz Flat Wound 4 String, Long Scale (43-100)

If you're accustomed to regular flat wounds, you need to give these some time to grow on you, but in my experience, they sort of ruin all other flat wounds to your ears.

#1, they are extremely supple and flexible, allowing your playing to be more dynamic.
#2 they have an excellent midrange and retain it even after mellowing with age.
#3 Despite the low gauges, they can dial in a LOT of bass. Pino Palladino uses them on his P-bass and I don't think I've ever thought of his bass tone being thin.

They are expensive but last nearly forever. I know a guy who has had some on his fretless for nearly 23 years, and counting lol. Definitely should try them out.

Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats are in a class of their own. Very nice sound and feel. They are not cheap but they last for a very long time. It's funny how people will drop 4K on a bass and bitch about $100 for strings.

They are loaded with the correct amount of Mids. .

Thomaston JF344s are my go to strings for my Fender P bass. I have purchased through Strings By Mail and their service has been consistently outstanding.
