Aquila AG x AQ Concert Ukulele Strings 158U

I've finally found "my"strings!! I love these!! Very bright and articulate!! I hardly have to re tune them after sitting for a while! They are high tension strings but I like that,very smooth plus I dig the surf green color! I play these on concert and tenor Banjoleles😎 To me they are the same as Dadarrio Titanium strings which are purple,which I also love! I do use Freemont fluorocarbon low g strings

These are beautiful looking strings; they're a lovely translucent green. Aftr having them on a concert ukulele for a couple of weeks I'm just not overly impressed. They're a bit thick under the fingers compared to flourocarbon and many other concert strings. The tone is really nice, but they seem quieter than what I was getting before. And they also feel to be a higher tension than I'm used to. Perhaps they're great for an artist of Mr. Guerrero's talent, and maybe for studio recording with that nice nylon tone, but for a long-time amatuer strummer like me they're just not doing it. For full disclosure, I haven't liked too many of the thicker Aquila strings,. I do however really like the newer Martin Premium Ukulele strings that are also made by/with Aquila. The Martin version are thinner and seem to be, once you get past the initial chalky feeling, an overall more pleasing string for me. Your mileage may of course vary. The ukulele I put the AG x AQ strings on is a Romero Creations ST Concert in mango, and it had better projection with the Romero Creations strings.
