I've tried many different strings this past year for my Alejandro Cervantes Signature Rodriguez guitar, beautiful in looks and sound. The Imperial trebles consistently won against other brand's treble's. I like a traditional warm treble sound. These are the warmest clear nylon trebles I tried. They provide more brilliance than the opaque nylon, but with the right nail shape, they retain fullness and warmth, striking a perfect balance. Note: I use a ramp shape (left to right) and lean my hand in slightly.

The Black basses sound and feel incredible. They are rich and warm. The light tension makes my guitar very resonant and I can feel the vibrations as I play. I also believe the light tension basses made the trebles sound better by adding more overall resonance. They are soft on the fingers adding to ease of play.

I'm giving a 4 star review because there is one undesirable trait in these basses. They don't last very long. I would say after 20 hours of playing they lose all of their richness. They are inexpensive, so one can buy many bass sets and change frequently. If the basses lasted longer, like 40 hours, this set would be perfect.

I find this tension combination works best for a lightly braced Alhambra 11C. I stubbornly had the opinion that a higher tension would produce more volume and low end, I was wrong. I've tried just about every brand tension combination , some costing four times the price.
