I've just picked up playing again after a few years off, had always used a footstool in a classical position under the left foot. My elevated knee didn't love that, so I tried with a strap for a while. Both a more conventional rock guitar strap but also the little ones with a hook that connect to the sound hole. Neither was what I really wanted, especially the extra pressure on my neck.

So, I ordered the GL Half and find that it provides a lot of flexibility—I can play with it a little more angled on my left leg or readjust and move it to my right for a position more like flamenco players.

I couldn't be happier with it. With a standard gloss finish on my guitar, the cups hold unfailingly (although I've read here and elsewhere that French Polish can be problematic). I opted for the Half because I do like to feel the guitar resonate as I play. If that's a plus for you, I'd highly recommend the GuitarLift Half.
